    Pizza Hut sneaks into competitors' drive-thrus to promote its new "burger."

    Pizza Hut has entered the hamburger market in the United States. However, it has done so with its own unique take on the hamburger, which it has dubbed the "Cheeseburger Melt," a sort of quesadilla made with pizza dough topped with meat, cheese, onion, and sauce. And to promote the new addition to its menu, it has made its way into the self-service restaurants of the country's major hamburger brands.

    As he explained, the company has deployed cars and drivers atdrive-thrulocations in Chicago and Miami belonging to some of the most popular hamburger chains with the intention of changing the minds of customers who queue up to place their orders. According to what he shared on social media, the cars are lined up with a QR code on the back that leads to "a better burger."

    Process for redeeming the coupon

    Users who scan the code will be directed to a page where they will receive a coupon that can be redeemed for a Cheeseburger Melt and a Pepsi soft drink at select Pizza Hut restaurants in the aforementioned cities. However, the offer will be available while supplies last.

    "As a brand known for its exceptional pizzas, venturing into the burger business is an exciting new venture for us,"said Lindsay Morgan, Chief Marketing Officer at Pizza Hut, in a statement."We thought we'd start our journey with something bold. That's why we're making waves in the burger chain world by serving our delicious new Cheeseburger Melt to all burger lovers."

    What's new at Pizza Hut

    Pizza Hut claims that the new product is an improved version of the hamburger, as it replaces the bun with pizza dough, preventing moisture. "Cheeseburger Melt" is an iteration of Pizza Hut Melts,which are available in four other recipes—with pepperoni, buffalo chicken, bacon parmesan, and beef with marinara sauce.

    It also claims to have brought together the best of the cheeseburger in its new product. "Unlike a traditional cheeseburger, the Cheeseburger Melt is perfectly dipped in what we would say is the best burger sauce in the world. We challenge you to find a better burger and sauce experience,"said Rachel Antalek, Director of Food Innovation at Pizza Hut.

    The pizza chain now offers a limited-edition Cheeseburger Melt made with all the components of a cheeseburger and bacon. Beef, applewood-smoked bacon, onion, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese are layered between two thin pizza crusts with a Parmesan crust.

    The dish is also served with "the world's best hamburger sauce" as an accompaniment, according to the pizza chain.

    "As a brand known for its exceptional pizzas, venturing into the burger business is an exciting new venture for us," said Lindsay Morgan, Pizza Hut's chief marketing officer, in a statement. "We thought we'd start our burger journey with something bold.

    That's why we're making waves in the hamburger chain industry, serving our delicious new Cheeseburger Melt to all hamburger lovers.

    To celebrate the new menu item, Pizza Hut is deploying delivery drivers to make appearances at the fast-food burger chain's drive-thrus.

    Delivery vehicles are equipped with QR codes that, when scanned, will send curious customers to a website where they can redeem a coupon for a free Melt cheeseburger and Pepsi.
