    Brands take advantage of the solar eclipse to shine

    Today's solar eclipse was truly special, and various brands took advantage of this event. Companies such as Disney+, Google, Krispy Kreme, Pizza Hut, and SunChips were among those that didn't want to miss this unique opportunity to enjoy the solar eclipse with their customers.

    For example, Google has been one of the major brands that has not wanted to miss out on presenting a special promotion in relation to this great astronomical phenomenon.

    Although the company often creates one of its iconic themed doodles , this time they wanted to do something more.

    To do this, every time a user searches for the solar eclipse on Google, before the results are displayed on the screen, a full-screen animation of what the eclipse looks like is automatically shown.

    Similarly, the streaming platform Disney+ wanted to broadcast the solar eclipse so that none of its users would miss the opportunity to enjoy it live.

    This marks a debut for the platform in terms of broadcasting live events in Latin America. Until now, Disney+ had limited its live broadcasts to sporting events, concerts, and award ceremonies.

    On this occasion, the broadcast entitled Eclipse Across America was produced by ABC News in collaboration with the National Geographic team.

    Pizza Hut also joined the conversation by launching an offer called "Total Eclipse of The Hut," which will only be available on April 8 and will allow customers to purchase any flavor of large pizza for only $12.

    SunChips is another brand that has benefited greatly from this solar eclipse to create an eye-catching campaign. Taking into account that it also ties in well with the brand name itself, Frito-Lay took advantage of this opportunity to introduce a new limited-time flavor of chips.

    It is a unique blend of habanero pineapple and spicy black bean gouda flavors. The brand also made this new flavor available to its customers completely free of charge at SunChipsSolarEclipse.com. Interestingly, it could only be requested for 4 minutes and 27 seconds, which is how long the solar eclipse lasted.

    Another company was Krispy Kreme, the well-known donut brand, which also didn't want to miss out on this phenomenon and launched its Total Solar Eclipse Donut offer, a pack of donuts covered in dark chocolate glaze with silver sprinkles simulating space, stars, and planets around it.

    The movements and strategies proposed by brands show that culturally and socially relevant events can provide unique opportunities, not only to build brands, but also to boost business results.

    Burger King joins this initiative for the solar eclipse

    The promotion is available during specific hours, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. To take advantage of this offer, customers must purchase any combo and request the BK NIGHTS promotion when placing their order.

    This offer represented a unique opportunity to enjoy Burger King burgers at a very affordable price while watching the spectacular solar eclipse that took place on this day.

    Eclipse donuts

    The promotion will be valid on Monday, April 8, from when the stores open at noon until closing time, and again from 6:00 p.m. until closing time.

    The promotion will be available at all participating Burger King locations in Mexico. To take advantage of the promotion, simply purchase a combo meal at any participating Burger King location.

    Then, you can choose a second burger of any size and flavor for only 10 pesos.
