Conventional media. Which one do you prefer?

Home Conventional media Which do you prefer?

    Television

Conventional or traditional media are the best known to the public because they are aimed at a large audience.

    Most commonly used conventional media:

TELEVISION: It is the medium par excellence and the most widely used for communicating something. It has, or had, the largest audience and influence among the population, as it can be heard and seen, providing a more concise idea of things and giving us the feeling that what is happening there is true, or at least generating doubt and interest in continuing to watch more, which makes it stay in the viewer's mind longer. and since its programming is already routine, or rather, it is something that people are already more accustomed to, the 40- to 80-year-old population range is the one that watches or uses this conventional medium the most. All of this contributes to the population changing its public opinion.

RADIO: It is one of the most important media outlets, with the widest coverage for promoting diversity and inclusion. It remains relevant today, with the advantage that you can listen to it at home, in the car, online via a cell phone by downloading an app. It is no longer necessary to carry a radio around or be at home to listen to it and stay informed about what is happening, or simply listen to some music. This is due to the sponsorship that some brands or stations have, and based on that, they modify the concept of their program a little, that is, they adapt to current topics of interest.

OUTDOOR ADVERTISING: this refers to all advertising located in public areas, such as squares, bus stops, MUPI, billboards, mobile billboards, etc. This type of advertising is aimed at a specific audience. It is generally seen more frequently in urban areas, because there is a greater flow of people there than in rural areas.

    Conventional media

PRINT MEDIA: These are the oldest forms of media, including newspapers, magazines, brochures, catalogs, and any other medium that disseminates information or advertising in print. This type of media is aimed at a very specific target audience. Nowadays, it is not so common to see people under 40 reading a newspaper, as everything is on the internet or social media, whereas people over 50 can still be seen reading a newspaper.

One of the advantages of print media is that you can read it anywhere, without worrying about not having internet or electricity. Whether you are alone or with others, you can go to a park, stay at home, wait at a bus stop, or go anywhere else where you can read a newspaper or magazine to stay informed about what is happening or any topic that interests you.

MAIL: Conventional mail gives you the advantage of having news or information delivered to your home, such as a magazine or newspaper. In the case of magazines, if you have a subscription or membership, they will be delivered to your home on a specific date. However, if you prefer email, it is even easier to receive all the information or advertising digitally in your inbox, although there are times when spam can be a bit annoying, sometimes filling up your inbox.

On the other hand, there is the option of sending advertising information to different email accounts yourself, making everything easier and eliminating the need to visit the homes of the people you want to deliver your information to.

INTERNET: The internet offers options for disseminating any type of information, whether informative or promotional, achieving massive reach. This information reaches too many people, whether they seek it out or it appears there. It is a medium that expands and updates itself at the same time, adapting to the needs of people or users who have access to the internet. Social networks are used to promote or learn about a product or service, or any information that is considered relevant.

Nowadays, we find it increasingly convenient and easy to use it as a conventional medium, because it is already part of our daily lives.
